Mr. Nathaniel Samuel was arrested in Southern Kaduna as one of the suspects linked to killings in the region.
Following his arrest, some reports referred to him as “Mohammed,” desperation to associate him with Muslims and Islam. However, Mr. Nathaniel Samuel clarified to the Nigeria Police that “Mohammed” was not his name.
In addition to earlier media reports attributing various attacks to Fulani individuals, there now appear to be instances where suspects are presented with Muslim names, creating the impression that Muslims or Fulanis are responsible for the incidents in Plateau State and Southern Kaduna.
